** CLEP Subject Exam--English Composition With Essay

   

In all cases where accepted, student must resubmit official CLEP score report for evaluation,

and required score may be higher than required by UW Colleges

         

(1) Scores required are  660 or higher EPT AND  730 or higher RCT (through summer 2000)

706 ECS or an EPT of 660 AND RCT of 730 effective Fall 2000 (for students tested through 4/20/02).

Effective 4/20/02, an ENGL score of 605 or better.

   
     

(2) Viterbo and Winona State do not accept transfer of UW Colleges English 102 exemption.

   
Foreign Language Requirements


Only campuses with foreign language requirements are listed.

UW-Eau Claire:  Two credits of a foreign language are required.  This requirement may be completed with two years of a single high school foreign language or two semesters of a single college foreign language. (Please note: Completing the Associate of Arts and Science Degree does NOT waive the foreign language admission requirement.)

UW-Madison: Two credits of a foreign language are required.  This requirement may be completed with two years of a single high school foreign language or two semesters of a single college foreign language. (Please note: Completing the Associate of Arts and Science Degree does NOT waive the foreign language admission requirement.)

UW-Milwaukee: Foreign language is not required for admission; however, student may fulfill graduation requirements by having completed two years of a single foreign language in high school or two semesters of a single foreign language in college.

UW-Parkside: Foreign language is not required for admission; however, student may fulfill graduation requirements by having completed two years of a single foreign language in high school or two semesters of a single foreign language in college.
