Take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy an array of international cuisine. Make your reservation now and plan to dine at 6pm Thursday, March 27, in the Wallace Student Center on the University of Wisconsin-Richland campus. That’s the date set for the “Feast of Nations,” a fundraiser for the UW-Richland student organization International Club.
UW-Richland has the largest population of international students of all the UW Colleges campuses, and a large and growing International Club, which includes international as well as local students with global interests. The “Feast of Nations” is intended as a way to help students share their culture with the community and to support activities of the club.
On the beverage menu are Bubble Milk Tea (Asia) and Horchata (Mexico). Indonesian Shrimp Puffs will be the appetizer. Two main courses are planned--African Peanut Stew with Naan (West Africa/Middle East/India) and Tajine (Tunisia). The dessert menu includes Trolier Cake (Switzerland) and Sweet Balls in Sugar Syrup (China).
A silent auction is planned, providing the opportunity for guests to bid on unique items from cultures around the world.
Reservations are necessary and a limited number of tickets will be sold. The price is $10. The reservation deadline is when the maximum is reached on a first come/first served basis for paid reservations or Tuesday, March 25. Guests should note that menu items contain gluten, nuts and other possible allergens. To make your reservation, contact International Club advisor Emery Sanchez by email at email@example.com or by calling the campus at (608) 647-6186, Extension 246. UW-Richland is located at 1200 Highway 14 West in Richland Center.
