Joanna Muller, Hillsboro, beginning May 1 will serve University of Wisconsin-Richland students as the first bachelor’s degree advisor/coach, assisting students who pursue UW-Richland’s Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences (BAAS) degree.
In this 25% position, Muller will help students from their initial contact, advising them throughout their program. Another aspect of the position is serving as liaison with UW-Platteville, the partner campus for UW-Richland’s BAAS program.
This new position, UW-Richland’s first BAAS advisor, is in addition to a 25% position Muller has held since last July, as BAAS Coordinator, which was also a first-time position at UW-Richland. As professional experience coordinator, she works with students, area businesses and local organizations to establish and supervise internships for students in the Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences degree program.
She has a master’s degree in academic advising from Kansas State University and is well-acquainted with UW-Richland, having served in the Business Services office since 2004.
Muller is eager to meet with people who would like to know more about the BAAS, a new opportunity for students to earn a bachelor’s degree at UW-Richland. To make an appointment with her, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the campus at (608) 647-6186, Extension 228.
