“Taste of UW-Richland” planned for April 24

High school juniors & seniors planning for college

High school juniors and seniors are encouraged to take part in a program to help them consider their future. Parents are encouraged to participate along with their student. Reserve now for “A Taste of UW-Richland,” scheduled for 3 – 5pm on Wednesday, April 24 in the Pippin Conference Center/Melvill Hall on the University of Wisconsin-Richland campus.

Not only will you get information useful in planning your future, you could be awarded one of two $100 scholarships. Organizers say that the odds are very favorable, as typically about 50 students take part. You must be present to win.

This free, no-obligation informational program provides an opportunity to focus on life after high school, to get acquainted with UW-Richland, consider college life, and get answers to questions. Meet UW-Richland faculty, staff and students. Learn more about financial aid and scholarships, the Guaranteed Transfer Program, and Campus View residence halls.

Individual attention in small classes, faculty whose focus is helping students succeed and excel, and that UW-Richland students have an academic advisor, a faculty or staff person, to help them plan their study program and explain options, are ways UW-Richland provides support during the important first two years of college. Students find that, with the lowest UW tuition and a textbook rental program, UW-Richland provides excellent value, as well.

Reservations are appreciated by April 18 and can be made online at richland.uwc.edu, by email at rlninfo@uwc.edu, or by phone UW-Richland at (608) 647-6186, and select option 3. UW-Richland is located at 1200 Highway 14 West in Richland Center.
