The University of Wisconsin-Richland gymnasium will be the site of the 2014 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference (WCC) All-Star basketball games which will bring 40 top basketball players from around the state and their fans to the Roadrunner Roost on Sunday, March 9. This is the first time UW-Richland has hosted the competition.
Members of the UW-Richland Roadrunner teams invited to participate are, from the men’s team, George Johnson, Milwaukee, and John Hassell, Richland Center, and from the women’s team,Kelsey Deets, Richland Center, and Hollie Martin, Gays Mills.
“While the East-versus-West All-Star games are a highlight, it’s an entire afternoon of fun with other competitions,” said Tracy Krueger, UW-Richland athletic director and game director for the event.
The schedule of events on March 9 is:
- 12noon – Dunk Contest – men
- 12:30pm – 3-point Contest – men and women
- 1pm – Hot Shot contest – women
- 2pm – women’s East-versus-West game
- 4pm – men’s East-versus-West Game
Events are open to the public. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens, and children 5 and under will be admitted free. UW Colleges students will be admitted free with a valid student ID card.
