Results of the annual UW Colleges Integrator of the Year competition were recently announced and two of the top three scores—including first place with a perfect score--were achieved by University of Wisconsin-Richland students.
Placing in the top position with a perfect score was Moyuan (Blaire) Li, from China. Earning third place overall in the competition was YiYi (Bill) Zhao, also from China.
The 2014 competition involved a total of 37 calculus students from nine of the UW Colleges campuses.
UW-Richland assistant professor of mathematics Dr. John Cleveland is the instructor of the honored calculus students. “"I'm very pleased with their success and hope to see them continue to develop their abilities," he said. Cleveland reports that the competition founder and coordinator said he was impressed because this was one of the more difficult exams.
