Educational Travel

Continuing Education and Outreach offers regular and unique travel opportunities to support experiential learning. Whether close to home or across the globe, our programs promote education by connecting you with sights, sounds, and senses that give you a comprehensive understanding of the topics and journeys that peek your interest.

Rails, Trail, and Tales:
Welcome aboard. These four to six-day excursions take us cross country on Amtrak and explore the geology, history, and ecology of diverse locations. Past trip destinations include Glacier National Park, the Lewis and Clark Trail (Astoria, Oregon), and Harpers Ferry, WV. Join Bob Hirschy, UW-Richland Professor Emeritus, his wife Jan, and Director of Continuing Education Diane Treis Rusk on our next adventure! Trips take place in the fall of each year. Destinations are announced approximately one year prior to the trip dates.
