Each week during the summer students that have completed 4K through 8th grade are eligible to join the UW-Richland Experience.
The experience includes hands-on activities for children from 9:00am–4:00pm, students will be in class with similar aged children.
Middle school students can get a half day of programming for free if they receive an internship and assist with the younger students classes for the other part of the day.
Parents needing to drop-off their children can do so as early as 7:30am and pick them up at 5:00pm for an additional $25 per week.
Class time will be from 9:00am–12:00pm and 1:00–4:00 pm.
During non-class time students will have supervised recreational time, which includes reading, physical activity, watching a movie, etc. You must register your child two weeks in advance and only pay for the weeks your child attends the experience. There may be times we have mini field trips to the pool or park and may also attend parks and recreation summer programming. We will walk to Jefferson most weeks for lunch, but also might ask you to pack a cold lunch or purchase lunch for an additional cost that week.
