Smartfest at the Smart Farm

Smartfest, open house at the UW-Richland Foundation’s Smart Farm, is May 3 from 10am-3pm. Events are open to the public and admission is free. The schedule of events planned includes:

10am—Discover Wildflowers trail tour led by botanist David Kopitzke
10:30am--Firing pottery with UW-Richland art instructor Eddie Villanueva
11am--Music by Brass-R-Us, refreshments
11:30am—About the Forest trail tour led by forester Mike Finlay
12noon—Busy Bees bee presentation by beekeeper Sue Sharp 
12:30pm—Walk in the Woods trail tour led by soil conservationist Duane Simonson
Displays of work by UW-Richland students.

Directions to UW-Richland Foundation Smart Farm: The address is 24970 Smart Lane. From Richland Center, head west on Highway 14. Turn left onto County Highway ZZ. Turn right onto Dayton Ridge Road. Take the first right onto Smart Lane.
