University of Wisconsin - Richland campus executive officer and dean Dr. Patrick Glenn Hagen has announced the names of students recognized for their academic achievements during the fall 2010 semester which ended in December.
The end of the fall semester is approaching and, with it, Tanya Van Risseghem (pronounced vanriss-ing-hem), a Muscoda resident, marks the halfway point in achieving her goal. She’s completing her studies at the University of Wisconsin-Richland and is preparing to transfer to UW-La Crosse.
Last fall the University of Wisconsin-Richland set a new record high with six valedictorians choosing the Richland Center UW to begin their college studies. That record is exceeded this fall with seven valedictorians among UWRichland’s 455 students.
Ron Fruit, who with his wife Beth owns WRCO Radio in Richland Center, was honored during a special ceremony held in Madison on September 23. At that ceremony, UW Colleges and UW-Extension interim Chancellor Dr.
University of Wisconsin-Richland students whose writing or other creative work was selected for publication in Quintessence 2010, a publication of the best in student course work from last year, were recently recognized and a book signing was held on campus.
Dr. Norlene Emerson, geologist and member of the University of Wisconsin-Richland faculty has been chosen as a 2010 Alliant Energy Underkofler Teaching Award recipient, the eighth UW-Richland faculty member to earn this prestigious award since it was established in 1991.
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents today approved tuition rates for the 2010-11 academic year that will freeze tuition at the UW Colleges freshman-sophomore campuses, including UW-Richland, for the fourth consecutive year.
Dr. David Wilson, chancellor of the UW Colleges and UW-Extension, has announced he will recommend to UW System President Kevin Reilly and the UW Board of Regents that Dr. Patrick Glenn Hagen be appointed as the next campus executive officer and dean of the University of WisconsinRichland.
New University of Wisconsin-Richland Phi Theta Kappa officers elected earlier this month took their oaths of office in ceremonies held May 11 on the Richland Center UW campus. Phi Theta Kappa is the campus honor society.
