The UW-Platteville Richland will host its annual Feast of Nations, where students share the food and culture of their home countries with the Richland Center community on Saturday, March 16 from 6-8 pm, in the Student Center on the UW-Platteville Richland campus.  Doors will open at 5:30.  The Richland Center Rotary Club sponsors the event, and all proceeds go to the campus’ International Club and Rotary International

This year’s theme centers on Thailand, will feature additional food selections from China, Fiji, Georgia, South Korea, and Vietnam.  In addition to a silent auction with items from across the globe, there will be music and dance performances from area schools, including UW-Platteville Richland, UW-Platteville, Eagle School, and Richland Center High School, along with RMC (Rince Mo Chroi) Irish Dancers.  There will be a wine cash bar.

“The Feast of Nations has been a tradition at the Richland campus for many years.  The students work very hard to prepare – cooking, decorating, and practicing music – all to share their culture with the local community, who can experience another part of the world, right in our own backyard,” said Jessica Vodvarka, International Student Coordinator at UW-Platteville Richland.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $7.50 for kids 2-12, and free for children under 2.  Ticket orders are through Eventbrite.com, by following the link at the UW-Platteville Richland website event calendar (richland.uwc.edu/events) or by calling Jessica Vodvarka at 608-800-6811. The event normally sells out, so please order tickets soon.
