Homecoming activities slated for March 4

By UW-Richland

(Richland Center, Wis.) Homecoming 2017 activities take place on Saturday, March 4, at the University of Wisconsin-Richland and will include both alumni athletic contests and special highlights in observance of the campus’ 50th anniversary.  All alumni and friends are invited to participate, including those who attended the Richland County Teachers College or UW-Richland.

The women’s Red vs. Blue alumni volleyball game opens the day’s activities at 11:30 a.m. in the Roadrunner Gymnasium.  At approximately 2:00 p.m. it’ll be tip-off time for the annual Red vs. Blue men’s alumni basketball game.

Alumni board member Ryan Zoellick (’11) is producing a 50-year remembrance slide show which will run throughout the day on a large monitor in the gymnasium lobby. The UWR Lunch Ladies will be on hand to provide delicious food options from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The action then moves west of campus to Mel’s’ Micro Brewpub (formerly Dayton Hills) where the day’s festivities will conclude.

Player registration is requested by February 15.  Cost is $15 per person, although a charge of $17 per person will be assessed for those requiring a XXL t-shirt.
